I fell asleep halfway through the story.

Met up with Nana and Junie for dinner at Paradise Inn @ 313.
What can I say?
The food was ok but the service really needed improvement.
One of the waiter lost grip of the hot pot of soup and
the whole pot just splattered on the table and onto Nana, Junie and me.
It was really messy and terrible. Nana got slightly scalded on her arm,
part of our clothes were also splattered with the hot soup.
Nana's iphone and my camera were not spared..
Luckily nobody was badly hurt and nothing was really ruined.
All these happened and the management did nothing to apologised or whatsoever.
The waiter and another gal came and apologised a few times, but all these while,
we did not receive a word of apology from the managment.
We were even asked to change table 2 times.
Is it very hard for the management to come to our table and say "Sorry"?
Hmm....

It's confirmed!!! Alonso will replace Kimi for Ferrari next year even though Kimi still has a contract until end 2010.
I was really upset about the news.
And Kimi might quite F1 next year, so if Kimi quits, it's bye bye to F1 for me as well.
But if Kimi still continues, he might be team-mates with Hamilton at Maclaren.
OMG, don't know which is worst, Kimi quiting F1 or teaming with Hamilton.

Somehow, I was not as excited as last year. And I didn't really take alot of photos like last year.
But this year, my sis brought her new cannon DSLR EOS 500D and the photos turned out great.
Imagine those cars were going at super high speed and my normal digital camera can only take very blurred pictures.

Cos After Sat's qualifying, we were "sian" of the results (Hamilton in pole position),
so we were thinking there is nothing much to see, so no need to go turn 13.
We just wanted to wait for the driver's parade at 6.30pm, take Kimi's photo and
walk around the area.

After the drivers' parade, we decided to go Marina Square for dinner.
Cafe Cartel was so empty!

It's supposed to be quite popular in Thailand.

Food wise, it's above average and the price is not too expensive.

There is even live band after 8pm.

Anyway, indoor stadium was full and everybody was high.

My sis and I once went to a restaurant in Hong Kong also called LuLu and

Watched "Coco Avant Chanel" (Coco before Chanel) with Junie, Nana and my sis.
Frankly speaking, before I went, I had really high hopes for this movie and
wanted to know how Coco Chanel got her inspiration and how she built her Chanel Empire.
Audrey TauTou was fantastic in the show,
and Alessandro Nivola was charming as the English Businessman.
But this movie falls below my expectation and I find it a tad boring at some points.

preparing herself for the next session.
So in order to test her, Junie and I decided to asked her out for a KTV session.
We went to Kbox at Suntec City (no cover charge) from 11am to 2pm.

Since we don't want to take photos, so Dawn decided to take photos of our feet instead.
Guess which feet belongs to who?

Verdict: Dawn passed the test!

Next Test: Learn a list of 20 different songs!!

Chance upon this new product from Liese (under Kao Corporation) at Watson's.
Thought the package was quite cute and decided to try.
Bought the "No. 1 Hair Colour in Japan" ~ Sweet Pink

It's very different from other hair dye which used cream and
bottle comes with a comb application,.
For this bubble hair dye, as you can see from the name,
it's in bubble (foam).

You just have to squeeze the bottle and

Just have to apply on your hair and gentle rub to let the hair absorb.

With nowhere to go on a Friday night, I decided to watch this movie "Definitely, Maybe" online.
Starring Ryan Reynolds (Mr Scarlet Johansson), Isla Fisher (Mrs Borat) and Rachel Weisz.
Quite a different kind of romantic comedy.

Watched this movie online during the National Day holidays.
This movie was 1st released in 2004.
A typical but touching love story.

The movie focuses on an old man reading a story to an old woman in a nursing home.
The story he reads follows two young lovers named Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun,
who meet one evening at a carnival and they fell in love eventually.
But they are separated by Allie's parents who dissaprove of Noah's unwealthy family, and move Allie away. After waiting for Noah to write her for several years, Allie meets and gets engaged to a handsome young soldier named Lon. Allie, then, with her love for Noah still alive, stops by Noah's 200-year-old home that he restored for her, "to see if he's okay". It is evident that they still have feelings for each other, and Allie has to choose between her fiancé and her first love.

Then the movie went back to the present and we finally know the reason why the old man
is reading to the old woman and also what happens in the end to the old man and woman.

Highly recommended by Dawn, so me and my sis decided to watch.
Even if the movie is not nice, but at least there are handsome faces to see,
like Louis Koo and Daniel Wu.
But surprise, surprise, there were more, like Michael Wong and Fang Zhong Xing.
Even pretty lady like Xu Jingchun.
Overall, the plot is not too bad and quite unexpecting.
Great acting by the actors.
Heard a rumour that they are going for part 2 with Andy Lau and Donnie Yen on board.

I didn't order their steak that day, frankly speaking, I was quite disappointed with their dishes.

Bershka is coming to town

Bershka, the sister brand of Zara under Inditex Group in Spain is coming to Singapore!!
RSH is bringing this brand to Singapore. (They are also the ones who brought in Zara, etc)
They are opening their 1st Southeast Asia store at Ion, Orchard.

Actually, I have not been to any of their shops in Europe, cos I have not been to Europe :'(
but I have heard so much from Dawn and Dean about this brand,
so I'm kind of looking forward to their opening in Ion.
Hopefully, their pricing will be cheaper or at least on par with Zara and Pull & Bear.

Just for general information, Inditex Group owns Zara, Massimo Dutti, Bershka and Pull & Bear.

Sidetrack: no sight of H&M at Ion, Orchard. Rumours that they might not be coming after all,
Mixed feeling, one part of me wants H&M to come and the other part of me don't want H&M to come.
Feeling is the same when Uniqlo came to Singapore...

Spent 3/4 of my Sat at the west.
My sis and I decided to go to the Da Vinci Exhibition at Singapore Science Centre.
We went to Jurong Point 1st for lunch.

BentoBox:
cheap food, but not really fantastic, I find the food too salty for me.

Then it's off to Science Centre!!

I have only been to Science Centre once when I was in primary school.

We went to the Omini Theatre 1st for the Van Gogh documentary.

We were lucky that they were showing this as Van Gogh is one of my sis's favourite artist.
And due to her influence, I have learn to appreciate his paintings.

Next we head down to the Da Vinci Exhibition.

We spent almost 2 hours plus inside the exhibition until the closing time: 6pm.

The exhibition area is not really big, but there were lots of things to see.

Too bad we were unable to take any photographs inside the exhibition.

After the exhibition, my understanding of Da Vinci is not limited to

"Mona Lisa", "The Last Supper", "Virgin of the rock" and "The Vitruvian Man".

I have learnt why he is called "The greatest Genius of all times".

He is not only an artist,

he is also an engineer, scientist, mathematician,

inventor, anatomist, sculptor, architect and more.

In the exhibition, I have also know more on the mysteries

of "Mona Lisa" and "The Last Supper".

And I have also learnt more of Da Vinci's works and inventor.

He is truly a genius.

After the exhibition, we decided to go Orchard to check out Ion.

But 1st, we had our break at "Mr Teh Tarik" at Tiong Bahru.

Celebrated my birthday with my sis and mum at Shin Jung Samgaetang Korean Restaurant at Joo Chiat. Since Dad was away in Genting and Da Jie was out, we decided to have our dinner outside. The BBQ Buffet is only $25++ which you can order as many meat as you want.
But the meat selection is limited and the day that we went, they do not have beef.
So most of the meat we had was pork.

My Birthday Angel (Junie) organised a Birthday Party for me with our friends on Sat.
In the morning, I went to collect my IC at ICA with Dawn and we went for breakfast at KFC
after collection.

The solar eclipse that will take place on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 will be a total eclipse of the Sun with a magnitude of 1.080 that will be visible from a narrow corridor through northern India, eastern Nepal, northern Bangladesh, Bhutan, the northern tip of Myanmar, central China and the Pacific Ocean, including the Ryukyu Islands, Marshall Islands and Kiribati. Totality will be visible in many cities such as Surat, Varanasi, Patna, Thimphu, Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuhan, Hangzhou and Shanghai, as well as over the Three Gorges Dam. A partial eclipse will be seen from the much broader path of the Moon's penumbra, including most of South East Asia and north-eastern Oceania.
This solar eclipse is the longest total solar eclipse that will occur in the twenty-first century, and will not be surpassed in duration until June 13, 2132. Totality will last for up to 6 minutes and 39 seconds, with the maximum eclipse occurring in the ocean at 02:35:21 UTC about 100 km south of the Bonin Islands, southeast of Japan. The North Iwo Jima island is the landmass with totality time closest to maximum.

Saturday Night Outing (12/Jul/09)

Went for movie with sis and her friend at Plaza Singapura (20th Century Boys part 2).
There was a Japan Fair organised by Carrefour at the first level of Plaza Singapura.

saw this very special square watermelon...so weird...

Had crepes for dinner:

Mazazu Crepe had a small stall at the fair.
Mazazu Crepe is the Singapore franchise of Mother's Crepe in Japan.
They have a permanent stall at Liang Court.
I think they taste better than the crepes that I had at Jurong Point.

After our movie, at about 945pm,

my sis and I went to the Night Festival at Singapore National Museum.

The National Museum was opened till 2am on Friday (10/Jul) and Saturday (11/Jul).

There was performance by Action Theatre PAN.OPTIKUM from Germany.

But there was an accident during one of the performance whereby one of the lady singer,

fell off the moving platform and the performance had to be stopped.

But the "loop of fortune" performance still remained.

Everybody was standing in front of the museum waiting for the performance.

The "loop of Fortune", also performed by the PAN.OPTIKUM.

lastly, the fireworks...

After the performance we went to the National Museum and

it was super crowded, didn't know that Singaporeans are so into

the National Museum. I think the reason is because admission is

free. Hahaha..

We were put off by the crowd and decided to went home after a few mins.

20th Century Boys (Part 2)

Was really anticipating for the Part 2 of 20th Century Boys,
but I was abit disappointed with the movie.
I think somewhere in the middle, it gets abit draggy.
Nevertheless, I will still be waiting for part 3, cos I want to know the identity of "Tomodachi".

It has been a long time since I watched Hong Kong Drama.
But the cast in this drama is too good to be missed.
And I like Hong Kong Dramas involving, policemen, forensic experts, firemen, doctors, etc.
There is no link between this 3rd part with Burning Flame 1 or Burning Flame 2.

Cast include: 王喜, 郑嘉颖，黄宗泽，胡杏儿

This time, 胡杏儿 is not pair with 黄宗泽, but it's a love triangle with 王喜and 郑嘉颖。

New Taiwanese drama that I'm watching now.
I think it's a typical story of rich bad guy meets poor country gal,
they were at loggerheads and hated each other in the beginning,
but as time paases, they feel in love, etc, etc..
But I think the pairing of 蓝正龙 and 陈桥恩 is quite refreshing.
Before 命中注定我爱你, she was always paired with 明道。

my salad week

My sis and I decided to go for salad lunch for the month of July.
Meaning we will prepare salad for lunch to bring to work for a month.
It has been a week already.
All these are prepared by my sis...
Salad dressing includes Italian or Japanese white sesame...
We have lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers,
sometimes there will be tuna, corns, capsicums and purple cabbages.
