Tawandang Microbrewery @ Dempsey Hill (22/Sep/09)

Thursday, September 24, 2009

Dinner with customers from Japan at this Thai-German Bar and Restaurant at Dempsey.
Couldn't take photos of the food cos paisey lah.
It's supposed to be quite popular in Thailand.
Food wise, it's above average and the price is not too expensive.
We ordered 5 dishes to share and total, it's about $120net.
There is even live band after 8pm.
After dinner, it's off to Ben & Jerry's nearby for ice-cream.
Had a hard time not to whip out my camera for photos.
But no choice, still have to control.
So no photos this time....

Balithai @ Ion Orchard (28/Jul/09)

Friday, July 31, 2009

Went Ion Orchard with Nana on Tuesday for dinner and shopping.
Wanted to try the restaurants there, like Aoba Hokkaido Ramen, Watami, etc,
but Watami's opening is on 30/Jul and the rest of the restaurants were having super long queues.
Finally settled on Balithai as there was no queue and I was famishing and ready to faint from hunger.

Supunsa Thai Cuisine at Orchard Tower (31/May/09)

Tuesday, June 2, 2009

Went Supunsa Thai Cuisine at Orchard Tower for dinner with Dawn after shopping.
Dawn found out about this small place after reading Michelle Quek's blog.

A few weeks back, we have actually tried to search for this place as the only clue
was that it's in Orchard Tower. We found the place but can't be sure as it doesn't
really looked like a restaurant and the tables and chairs are very limited.
So we went to Tony Roma's which was at the opposite building.

This time, Dawn confirmed that it's this place and we never looked back. hahaha!

cups of condiments

we order this but I can't remember the name.
It's actually minced chicken with chilli and veges, top with a sunny side up.
Dawn ordered the minced pork one and it looks the same.
Surprisingly, a simple dish like this tasted really good.

Tom Yam Soup (Chicken)
They were very generous with the chickens, mushrooms and tomatoes.
The taste is abit milky but it's very refreshing and it has all the aspects of
tom yam soup. Spicy-checked, sour-checked.
Really delicious...
