A feel good movie about love.
Personally, I prefer "Love Actually".
But it's still enjoyable.
The film follows the intertwining storylines of a group of Los Angelenos as they find their way through romance over the course of one Valentine’s Day.

I loved this movie!!
The CG was fantastic!
And I watched in in 3D.
Another great work by James Cameron.
Cast: Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Michelle Rodriguez, Sigourney Weaver
Sypnopsis taken from Cathay Website:
AVATAR, a live action film with a new generation of special effects, takes us to a spectacular new world beyond our imagination, where a reluctant hero embarks on a journey of redemption and discovery, ultimately leading a heroic battle to save a civilization. The film was first conceived by Cameron 14 years ago, when the means to realize his vision did not yet exist. Now, after four years of actual production work, AVATAR delivers a fully immersive cinematic experience of a new kind, where the revolutionary technology invented to make the film, disappears into the emotion of the characters and the sweep of the story.

The cast couldn't save the movie.
I fell asleep halfway through the story.
I expected more from it, but at the end,
I still couldn't make head and tail of what the movie is all about.
Cast: Heath Leger, Johnny Depp, Judd Law, Colin Farrell (all acting the same person)
Synopsis taken from Cathay website:

Watched "Jennifer's Body" with Junie, Nana, Dawn and Sng.
I thought this movie was going to be a whole lot of crap, but surprisingly,
it's actually quite entertaining..
Not fantastically nice, but watchable.

Typical Romance plus comedy.
Superb chemistry between Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reyolds.
Synopsis taken from Golden Village website:
When high-powered book editor Margaret (SANDRA BULLOCK) faces deportation to her native Canada, the quick-thinking exec declares that shes actually engaged to her unsuspecting put-upon assistant Andrew (RYAN REYNOLDS), who shes tormented for years. He agrees to participate in the charade, but with a few conditions of his own. The unlikely couple heads to Alaska to meet his quirky family (MARY STEENBURGEN, CRAIG T. NELSON, BETTY WHITE) and the always-in-control city girl finds herself in one comedic fish-out-of-water situation after another. With an impromptu wedding in the works and an immigration official on their tails, Margaret and Andrew reluctantly vow to stick to the plan despite the precarious consequences.

Watched "Coco Avant Chanel" (Coco before Chanel) with Junie, Nana and my sis.
Frankly speaking, before I went, I had really high hopes for this movie and
wanted to know how Coco Chanel got her inspiration and how she built her Chanel Empire.
Audrey TauTou was fantastic in the show,
and Alessandro Nivola was charming as the English Businessman.
But this movie falls below my expectation and I find it a tad boring at some points.

With nowhere to go on a Friday night, I decided to watch this movie "Definitely, Maybe" online.
Starring Ryan Reynolds (Mr Scarlet Johansson), Isla Fisher (Mrs Borat) and Rachel Weisz.
Quite a different kind of romantic comedy.
You will be like Maya, trying to guess who her mum actually is.
Synopsis taken from Yahoo! Movie:
A thirtysomething Manhattan dad is in the midst of a divorce when his 10-year-old daughter, Maya, starts to question him about his life before marriage. Maya wants to know absolutely everything about how her parents met and fell in love: Will's story begins in 1992, as a young, starry-eyed aspiring politician who moves to New York from Wisconsin in order to work on the presidential campaign. For Maya, Will relives his past as an idealistic young man learning the 'ins' and 'outs' of big city politics, and recounts the history of his romantic relationships with three very different women. Will hopelessly attempts a gentler version of his story for his daughter, and changes the names so Maya has to guess who is the woman her father finally married. Is her mother Will's college sweetheart, the dependable girl next door Emily? Is she his longtime best friend and confidante, the apolitical April? Or is she the free-spirited but ambitious journalist Summer? As Maya puts together the pieces of her dad's romantic puzzle, she begins to understand that love is not so simple or easy. And as Will tells her his tale, Maya helps him to understand that it's definitely never too late to go back--and maybe even possible to find a happy ending.

Watched this movie online during the National Day holidays.
This movie was 1st released in 2004.
A typical but touching love story.
The movie focuses on an old man reading a story to an old woman in a nursing home.
The story he reads follows two young lovers named Allie Hamilton and Noah Calhoun,
who meet one evening at a carnival and they fell in love eventually.
But they are separated by Allie's parents who dissaprove of Noah's unwealthy family, and move Allie away. After waiting for Noah to write her for several years, Allie meets and gets engaged to a handsome young soldier named Lon. Allie, then, with her love for Noah still alive, stops by Noah's 200-year-old home that he restored for her, "to see if he's okay". It is evident that they still have feelings for each other, and Allie has to choose between her fiancé and her first love.
Then the movie went back to the present and we finally know the reason why the old man
is reading to the old woman and also what happens in the end to the old man and woman.

Highly recommended by Dawn, so me and my sis decided to watch.
Even if the movie is not nice, but at least there are handsome faces to see,
like Louis Koo and Daniel Wu.
But surprise, surprise, there were more, like Michael Wong and Fang Zhong Xing.
Even pretty lady like Xu Jingchun.
Overall, the plot is not too bad and quite unexpecting.
Great acting by the actors.
Heard a rumour that they are going for part 2 with Andy Lau and Donnie Yen on board.
Taken from Golden Village website:
From the team behind Infernal Affairs and Protege, Overheard is a financial thriller about stock-market manipulation. Three Criminal Intelligence Bureau cops become increasingly thrilled by the secrets they hear while conducting surveillance on a listed company, without knowing that it is a path of no return.

Was really anticipating for the Part 2 of 20th Century Boys,
but I was abit disappointed with the movie.
I think somewhere in the middle, it gets abit draggy.
Nevertheless, I will still be waiting for part 3, cos I want to know the identity of "Tomodachi".

Was given a pair of free tickets to watch Transformers: The Revenge of the Fallen at The Cathay before everyone else! All thanks to my LG prada.
Surprisingly, the cinema was only 1/4 occupied.
Verdict: This is the best movie of 2009. I highly recommend it to all my friends.
The fighting scenes were awesome and the CG was really fantastic.
100% entertainment value, you want comedy, you have comedy,
you want action, you have action.
Looking forward for a Part 3, if there is one.

It has been a long time since I've watched a horror movie.
Watched "Drag me to Hell" with Nana and Junie.
In conclusion, this horror movie is like a comedy to us, cos we couldn't help laughing.
There were the horror elements, but there were also parts which you couldn't help laughing.
And also how gross some of the scenes were.
But I pity Christine, think she is at the wrong place at the wrong time.
It's not your typical kind of horror movie....
Synopsis taken from GV website:
Director Sam Raimi (Spider-Man trilogy, Evil Dead series) returns to the horror genre with Drag Me To Hell, an original tale of a young woman's desperate quest to break an evil curse. Christine Brown (Alison Lohman) is an ambitious L.A. loan officer with a charming boyfriend, professor Clay Dalton (Justin Long). Life is good until the mysterious Mrs. Ganush (Lorna Raver) arrives at the bank to beg for an extension on her home loan. Should Christine follow her instincts and give the old woman a break? Or should she deny the extension to impress her boss, Mr. Jacks (David Paymer), and get a leg-up on a promotion? Christine fatefully chooses the latter, shaming Mrs. Ganush and dispossessing her of her home. In retaliation, the old woman places the powerful curse of the Lamia on Christine, transforming her life into a living hell. Haunted by an evil spirit and misunderstood by a skeptical boyfriend, she seeks the aid of seer Rham Jas (Dileep Rao) to save her soul from eternal damnation. To help the shattered Christine return her life to normal, the psychic sets her on a frantic course to reverse the spell. As evil forces close in, Christine must face the unthinkable: how far will she go to break free of the curse?
