Batam Trip (04/Jul/09)

Monday, July 6, 2009

Went Batam for a 2D1N stay with the gals (Tracy, Bobo, Junie and Nana).
Too bad, Dawn was unable to go with us.
Maybe next time.

We stayed at I Hotel which is within walking distance to Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre.
Because of the location, I Hotel is always fully booked.
All thanks to Nana, we managed to confirm a suite room within such short notice.

After settling everything in the hotel room, we went for lunch at Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre:

A&W set that consisted of 2 pcs chicken,

curly fries and root beer float

all of us shared the waffle

After shopping, we had out "pit stop" at Godiva coffee cafe:

our "fuel"

Tracy bought the microwave popcorn (Jolly Time)
I have heard raves from my friend who also go Batam to buy this popcorn back,
but because I don't have microwave at home, I didn't buy.
In the end, we ate the 2 packs in our suite.
Cheese flavour and caramel apple flavour.

I think the cheese flavour is very nice, but Bobo and Junie said it smells like smelly socks.
The caramel apple taste salty instead of sweet, but it's still quite nice.
After some R&R in our suite, we went for massage at Isabella near Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre.
We were very impressed by the service at Isabella.
We booked our session via phone in the hotel and request for transport to pick us up at our hotel.
Tracy, Nana and Junie did the body massage plus body scrub at Rp170,000 (SGD$25) for 2 hours, Bobo and me did the hand, foot and shoulder massage at Rp140,000(SGD$20) for 2 hours. So cheap!!! But during the massage session, we experience blackout which was quite funny actually.
Isabella actually provide transportation to and fro from the ferry terminal to their premises.
And since we do not need the transportation to the ferry terminal that day, they took us to harbour bay which is famous for seafood. And the surprising thing is that they actually asked us
to call them after we have finished our dinner and sent us back to our hotel!!
We will definitely go back to Isabella for massage next time we are in Batam.

Seafood at Harbour Bay
(photos are really blur and bad because of the lighting)
The food not very fantastic but the ambience quite ok.

The next day, we had buffet breakfast at the hotel:

After breakfast and lazing around at our suite,
we went to Megamall for last min shopping.

After arrival at habourfront, Nana, Junie and me went Food Republic at Vivo for dinner:
